Oh if i could run the seder, what a seder it would be! queen esther would arrive with elijah, and vashti would bring a macabee. we would all sing a barucha, and then taste the wine. we'd nosh on tart haroset, and on brisket we would dine. and while the four children asked their questions, with a twinkle in my eye, i'd sneak silently from the table, and the afikomen would be - all - mine.
Oh if i could run the seder, what a seder it would be! i would sit at the head of the table and everyone would look at me. i would raise my glass to greet my guests, and break the matzah to pass along. i would bring a rock and roll band, and they would play to every song. we would recline on fluffy pillows, and forget about the day. we would laugh and shout l'chiam! next year in Jerusalem! we would say.
Oh if i could run the seder, what a seder it would be! our matzah would be stuffed with chocolate and marshmallows, and on the seder plate would stand a jelly bean tree. we would open all the windows and unlock all the doors, making room for all kinds of animals - they say tigers love s'mores. the hippos would come in pairs, the zebras and tigers two-by-two, the pandas would shout "mazel tov!" all the way from the zoo.
Well ... when all is said and done, i think maybe it would just be best, if i could please run the seder, and you can be my guest.
This would be great text for a Passover book for children!
